Be Cool News is published by Be Cool Group UK Ltd, trading as Be Cool Refrigeration (company no. 13901261), part of Be Cool Group. We are a family-run air conditioning and refrigeration contractor in London. We have installed, serviced and repaired systems for homes and businesses since 2004, and we are F-Gas certified and Refcom registered.

Why engineers write it

Most news about our industry is written for other people in the trade. We wanted somewhere that explains what a new rule, refrigerant or product actually means for the restaurant owner, facilities manager or homeowner paying for the system, written by the people who see these systems on site every week.

Every article names the team member responsible for it. Technical articles are checked by an F-Gas certified engineer before they are published. You can see who they are on our experts page.

How it is paid for

Be Cool News is paid for by Be Cool Refrigeration's contracting work. There is no advertising, no sponsored content and no paid placement. Our articles end with a way to contact Be Cool, because that is how the site pays for itself, and we say so openly.

What we will not do

• Rank air conditioning or refrigeration companies. We are one, so we cannot be fair about it.
• Include a product in a roundup that our engineers have not worked on.
